Given the multiplicity of things to see, our structure gives you the chance to streamline your visit by offering you custom itineraries to suit your needs.

The surroundings

In the area surrounding our structure there are some of the most fascinating “Ville Lucchesi” of the XVI century, which formerly were summer residences for the richer population of Lucca, featuring amazing gardens, ornamental water features, fresh, statues and immense halls.

Just like other cities in Tuscany, Lucca, the “city of 100 churches”, features many works of art, just like an open-work museum.
The big walls of Lucca, about 2,5 miles long, are the biggest European example of walls built by following the “modern fortification” principles that is still well-preserved nowadays.

Moving to East, we find Collodi, a medieval town, with the astounding Villa Garzoni, the Butterfly House and the park devoted to Pinocchio .

To the south, on namesake hills, it lies the peculiar medieval town of Montecarlo, famous for its DOC wines, for Cerruglio stronghold and the small Rassicurati theatre, dated back to 1795.

Artistic cities

In case Lucca is just not enough for you, you can travel up to Pisa, distant about 25 miles away from here, or to Florence, distant about 31 miles away from here: there you will have the chance to visit wonderful monuments and astounding museums.
If you feel like travelling even farther, you can reach for Siena with a trip 62 miles long, and enjoy the beautiful medieval city that is famous worldwide for its palio which takes place in July.

The sea

For the ones who love the sea you can reach for the seashore, about 30 miles away from here, along with the beautiful beaches of Torre del Lago Puccini along with its famous lake and the house of the namesake artist. The theater along the lakeshore is a one of a kind summer attraction, and it’s possible to enjoy the artist operas in such a very exclusive frame.

Viareggio, the “seashore pearl”, offers bathing estabilishments along the famous promenade on which, during the carnival the célèbre carnival floats stroll: these floats are true pieces of art, made by specialized artisans of Viareggio.

Moving towards north you can reach for the “Versilia” area, hometown of night life and clubs. Forte dei Marmi, the most important town of the area, is destination of famous artists, singers, soccer players which you might even come across with by sightseeing the place.

The mountains

The Apuan Alps divide the coastal area from Lucca’s inlands, and they make a perfect sample of how much generous nature has been with our territory. Other than the numerous trekking itineraries you can follow to reach the sum of the various mountains of the chain, where you can enjoy a breath-taking landscape view, with marvellous dawns and sunsets; it also is possible to book a guided tour to sightsee Carrara marble caves.

The Pistoiesi mountains featuring Abetone and Svizzera Pesciatina will warrant you many chances of leisure and relax in one-of-a-kind natural environments.

The Garfagnana area, with the Windy Grottos and the Apuan Alps visual, is another destination you just can’t miss.
